Earlier this month, LaserCard announced the appointment of Robert T. DeVincenzi as the company's new president and CEO.

DeVincenzi, who had been senior vice president of corporate development at Solectron, takes over for Bernard Bailey, the company’s interim CEO since late March. Bailey will remain on LaserCard’s board of directors.

In a statement issued by the company regarding the new appointment, Bailey said that DeVincenzi had the "operational" and "sales" experience necessary to help the company grow.

DeVincenzi, in the same statement, also remarked that he was happy to be joining LaserCard and looking forward to building upon the company’s "record of success."
